Central Kansas Medical Center and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital have many options available to assist our patients with their financial needs. The following information will assist you in identifying some of these options.
Central Kansas. Medical Center (CKMC) sets aside financial assistance funds each year to aid patients who are in need of assistance. Located in the admissions area of CKMC a financial counselor is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer questions regarding payment arrangements or financial packets.
Central Kansas Medical Center/St. Joseph
Memorial Hospital provides care without regard
to ability to pay to individuals with limited
resources. (You may pick up a financial packet from the financial counselor located in the admissions area). For scheduled services the financial assistance packet needs to be completed prior to the service. For assistance regarding the financial assistance program at CKMC, please contact 620-786-6594.
In the Admissions area of CKMC, a representative is available from Midland Professional Services. This person can assist you in determining if there are other benefits available for you by working with state programs, for assistance please contact 620-786-6126.

The patient accounting department can assist you in determining the payment plan that bests fits your finances. For non-emergency services, Central Kansas Medical Center and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital will require that financial arrangements be completed at the time of registration. Financial arrangements must be established at the time of, or prior to registration or postponement of the scheduled treatment or test may occur.
