Parents can announce their babies' birth to relatives and friends everywhere using our Stork Report feature!

You may also wish to congratulate someone on the birth of their baby by sending an e-card. Note: They must still be a patient in the hospital for this feature to work. We are unable to forward messages to patient homes.

May we also suggest you visit our "Gifts From The Heart" gift shop. You can order gifts to be delivered to a patient's room by phone.

Thinking about having a baby?
We hope you will choose our services.

At Central Kansas Medical Center we are very proud of our Obstetrical (OB) department. Our experienced OB team includes Obstetricians, Pediatricians, Registered Nurses and Anesthesia services. Parents trust us over 450 times per year for the birth of their babies. We offer single room maternity rooms, LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Post Partum).

You can rely on our Level II Nursery staff to be there for your baby. Think of it as an intensive care unit for newborns. When a baby is born too early (premature) they require special care to ensure they are breathing and functioning normally. The most severe babies may be transfered to Wichita. But because of our Level ll nursery, more babies can be treated right here at home. You pediatrician will know what level of care your baby needs.
