The ER is staffed 24 hours a day by a physician and registered nurses specially
trained in trauma, cardiac, burns, and infant/pediatric support. Your emergency
treatment may allow you to return home or may require a hospital stay. In very severe
emergencies that may require more specialized care, such as open-heart surgery, you
may be transferred to a tertiary care center.
